Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is concerned with the care of patients who require restoration of the oral and dental tissues. The speciality involves contributing to the care of the elderly and those with special medical needs together with those with learning difficulties for whom appropriate management is important, in addition to providing treatment for those who require complex dental care. Restorative Dentistry includes all aspects of Periodontics,Endodontics and Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, including Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry.
Restorative dentistry is the study, examination and treatment of diseases of the oral cavity, the teeth and their supporting structures. Restorative Dentistry includes the dental monospecialties of endodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics (including implantology), and its foundation is based upon how these interact in the management of cases requiring multifaceted care.
